Nice little airport Cafe! The kids can see the planes from the windows. Elevator access or stairs. A nice outing, great staff and good food.

If you are a big fan of airplanes and home made breakfasts ... Then you should definitely consider visiting Sunshine & Tailwinds. This place is so beautiful, with very kind people who really care about you. Everything was great, including the food and service. It is absolutely a hidden gem in the airport... I love it!!

Love this place. Going back to the 50's and plenty of model airplanes enjoy. Great service! Great vibe! Super clean. No one is in a hurry to push you out of your seat for the next customer. They listened and made me a tuna sandwich with some coleslaw and ice tea just the way I like it! Sorry no food photos, I was just too hungry .. I don't eat meat anymore but from the look of my lunch mates they were loving the food too!

Nowadays, there are so few truly unique spots which are not known as part of a category one would expect. One such treasure is the little old school diner at North Las Vegas airport. This family run facility had been on Decatur Boulevard for a really long time we are told. My husband and I started coming here in 2023 and we really love the welcome that we receive. The staff are very very kind and very personable. Most recently my group of friends who are Urban Sketchers have been coming to the restaurant to meet up because not only is it a very picturesque airplane oriented scene, but the food is very enjoyable. We particularly enjoy seeing Jen who is the most amazing brand ambassador for any business I have ever seen in the world. Jen could make a positive connection with the most prickly person on earth faster than anyone. The view of the airport lends a very airy and open feeling to this second floor restaurant. You know me in some of my reviews I have stated how I sincerely appreciate when a café or a restaurant treats the senior citizens and the veterans so well. The population is peppered with pilots, senior veterans, younger veterans, uniform, military, families, and friends. Many are regulars. After I introduced my artist friends, a couple of months back, the café has become one of our favorite places to sketch. There is a memory wall of photographs of people overtime that is especially endearing to see. Once we get our coffee, omelettes, winder potatoes, which are little propeller-like home fries we already are having a very happy day.

What a hidden thing. Jim thought I would try this restaurant and was shocked when I pulled up to the North Las Vegas airport because I thought I was completely lost and did not understand the restaurant was inside. Upon entering the airport, you must either take the stairs or the elevator upstairs to get to the restaurant, as I observed no signage. The service was incredible. Every time a staff member passed by our table, we were greeted and asked if there was anything that they could help us with, anything they could get us with, and even our food and beverages. The food was phenomenal. It's just basic, delicious, home-cooked food, yet they did it elegantly and gracefully. Unfortunately, the day we ate here, it was raining outside, so you could not see out of the beautiful open windows as much as it would've been on a bright, beautiful, sunny Las Vegas day. I would highly recommend anyone coming to this beautiful gym because you get a lot of food for a price, and it's all homemade food

We got there at a really busy moment. The staff warned us the food might take 40-60 minutes to be made. We agreed and took a table. The staff was busy but they were super nice and accommodating, even passing cookies as we waited. The food was a great value for the price. Large portions and pretty tasty. We actually only waited 20-30minutres for the food too which was a nice surprise. The view of the airport was also unique. It is located on the 2nd floor of the North Las Vegas airport... there are 2 sets of stairs on either end.

The staff here is so sweet and very helpful. This place is a hidden gem. The food was fresh and yummy. I popped in on a Sunday around 12/ 1 pm. Parking was easy. Once in the building, just follow your nose up the stairs or take the elevator up. I was greeted by a cheerful person and picked a seat with a view of the planes coming and going. I had eggs with 2 sausage pattys and a biscuit with gravy. I had the potatoes that came with peppers and onions. They were very tasty I saw lots of pancakes coming to the tables so they must be good. I plan to try them next time. Breakfast was filling and very tasty. Service was also very good. It's a very welcoming place with a classic menu and a fun atmosphere. I recommend sitting by a window. The small planes at a fun touch.

Came here for breakfast & this is the cutest hidden gem ever! Loved the little planes all over the restaurant! Service is super quick & friendly! Always refilling our waters & coffee! Food was cheap & great! I got the grilled pork chops & potatoes & eggs! Loved it! Hubby got the steak & eggs & it was perfectly cooked medium rare! We will definitely return!

So I'm visiting a friend over here in Las Vegas, NV. He recommends that I go to a place at North Las Vegas Airport called Sunshine & Tailwinds Cafe. I say fine and we go. When I arrive, I notice the wonderfully decorated, clean cafe with airplanes and pictures all over the wall. The large windows overlook the airport, and you can see many of the planes landing and taking off. I want to note that it was quite busy in there with pilots and retirees. We were greeted immediately upon our arrival and were told to take a seat anywhere we wanted. We were served by several employees as they were all working as a team, including the owner of the cafe. Everyone was friendly and polite-seemed to genuinely care for the customer. Let's talk about the menu. Omelets, pancackes , pretty much anything you wanted, and my favorite (which I have not seen anywhere) chipped beef on toast!! So I ordered the vegetarian omelet and chipped beef on toast with white bread. What I got far exceeded my expectations. The omelete was picture perfect, like out of a magazine. Everything tasted home made and was absolutely delicious. I sampled the home fries-the best I've tasted. The last item is how value friendly the menu is. When in Vegas-this is a must try, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
